Below is a list of 45 mergers and acquisitions (M&A) as well as seed funding, venture capital, private equity, and corporate round investments that occurred in 17 countries in May 2020. The top categories for these transactions were merchant acquiring/processing and business-to business (B2B) commerce. The U.S. led with 16 transactions, followed by Europe with 14, Asia-Pacific with 10, Middle East-Africa with 3, and Canada and Latin America with 1 each. In the first five months of 2020, the Nilson Report has published information about 74 M&A deals and 150 investments in over 30 countries.
