Stripe-Owned Paystack Processes Online Card Payments in Africa

More than 60,000 online merchants, most based in Nigeria, use Paystack to process card payments. The company launched in 2016. A year later, it received $8 million in a Series A funding round led by Stripe, which also included Visa and Tencent. Last year, Stripe acquired Paystack for more than $200 million.
