There were 11 domestic-only general purpose debit and credit card brands handled by merchant acquirers in Europe identified in our annual survey. Purchase (spending for goods and services) volume generated by domestic-only cards grew to $584.10 billion in 2021, generated by 22.36 billion transactions.
