Newland N850 Smart POS Terminal

The N850 is a desktop tablet with a 7-inch capacitive multi-touchscreen. Its full color LCD display has 1024 x 600 resolution. There is a 0.3 megapixel front camera. The N850 supports 1D/2D barcode payments. Wireless communications include Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 2.1 with optional 4G (LTE). Wired communication is Ethernet 10/100 Base T. Certifications for the N850 include PCI 5.x SRED, EMV Level 1 and 2, EMV Contactless Level 1, PayPass, PayWave, CE, RoHS, and TQM.

The device has one audio speaker and one microphone. The video function supports 1080p video play and 720p video recording. Encryption capabilities include TDES, AES, Master/Session key, DUKPT, Fixed Key, and RSA. The N850 measures 188 mm x 115 mm x 160 mm and weighs 740 grams. It uses the Android 5.1 operating system and a 32-bit ARM Cortex A7 quad-core central processing unit. PIN entry is through a virtual keypad. Value-added services for merchants include inventory and employee management, sales reporting, and loyalty program support. 

Newland shipped more than 13 million POS terminals worldwide last year, up from 8.7 million in 2017.
