France is the largest payment card market in the European Economic Area with purchase volume exceeding $770 billion annually. However, card acceptance and merchant acquiring in France is poised for disruption.
There were 42 acquisitions and financing deals involving consumer and commercial credit, debit and prepaid card issuance and card account processing in 2023.
Nuvei processed more than $200.00 billion in payments (up nearly 59%) and generated $1.19 billion in revenue (up 41%) in 2023.

Pismo received $118 million in two rounds of funding (2016 and 2021) from investors including Accel Partners, Amazon and Softbank.
