The acquisition of Speedpay from Western Union (WU) for $750 million in cash more than doubles ACI Worldwide’s annual revenue in the electronic bill presentment and payment (EBPP) business in the U.S. to the $600-million range. ACI becomes the top EBPP provider in the U.S. based on revenue. Fiserv is second largest. The EBPP industry in the U.S. is very fragmented.
