Cards in the Middle East and Africa — 2014

Credit, debit, and prepaid cards issued in the Middle East and Africa region with the MasterCard, Visa, American Express, and Diners Club brands generated $786.32 billion in total volume in 2014. This included purchases for goods and services as well as cash transactions at ATMs and over the counter at branches. Total volume grew 16.3% from 2013. Purchase volume for good and services only from these global general purpose card brands increased 16.8% to $286.71 billion.
