The 50 largest issuers of Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, JCB, Diners Club, American Express, and general purpose domestic credit, debit, and prepaid consumer and commercial cards in Europe are ranked on pages 10 and 11. This group, which represents 30 countries, had issued 707.5 million cards by year-end 2015 that generated $2.329 trillion in purchases of goods and services at merchants.
