Purchase volume for goods and services tied to credit, debit and prepaid cards issued in Europe with Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Diners Club brands reached $3.361 trillion in 2020, an increase of 2.1% on a local currency basis over 2019. Purchase volume on Visa cards grew 4.3% to $2.024 trillion. For Mastercard, purchase volume was up 1.7% to $1.259 trillion.
