Banking-as-a-service (BaaS) platform Evolve Bank & Trust disclosed that personally identifiable information (PII) on 7.6 million people was among the 33 terabytes of data released on the dark web by Russia-based LockBit, a gang of ransomware software extortionists. The data included names, dates of birth, Social Security numbers, bank account numbers and deposit balances of customers of Evolve clients as well as of Evolve employees.
