On page 6, we rank the 36 largest merchant acquirers in the Middle East and Africa (MEA) region based on the number of Mastercard and Visa purchase transactions they handled in 2022 from 1,110,104 active merchant outlets. Those acquirers, which represented 16 countries, collectively processed $308.45 billion in purchase volume from 7.22 billion Mastercard and Visa transactions, up 41.8% over 2021.
