Top 50 US Mastercard and Visa Credit Card Issuers–2023

The 50 largest issuers of Mastercard and Visa brand consumer, small business and commercial credit card products collectively owned $911.53 billion in outstanding receivables at year-end 2023, an increase of 12.1% from year-end 2022. When measuring the entire US industry, the average increase in Mastercard and Visa outstandings was 11.7% in 2023. New to the top 50 ranking based on outstanding receivables at year-end 2023 were Randolph Brooks Federal Credit Union, which grew its portfolio by 6.9% to $538.6 million and First Tech Federal Credit Union, which increased 21.4% to $508.8 million. ...
