US Visa/Mastercard Credit Card Issuers–Midyear 2024

The 100 largest US issuers of Visa and Mastercard credit cards generated $2.089 trillion in purchase volume from January 1 through June 30, 2024. This was an increase of 4.9% ($96.72 billion) over the same period last year for the 100 largest issuers. Total volume for the top 100 issuers, which is the combination of cash advances and balance transfers with purchase volume, grew to $2.130 trillion, up 4.8%. This was an increase of $96.92 billion.
