Wirecard Buys Citi’s Asia Merchants

Merchant card processing contracts owned by Citi in Singapore, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, Thailand, India, Australia, and New Zealand will be purchased by Wirecard. Terms were not disclosed. Sale of the merchant portfolio in all countries will close by the end of June. Wirecard says the EBITDA for these businesses will amount to more than $21 million.
