South Korea-based Hyundai has started to ship its entry-level Kona model to the US with a Hyundai Pay wallet built into the vehicle’s software.

Latin America’s Largest Merchant Acquirers — 2022

Owners of the 48 largest portfolios of merchant card processing contracts in Latin America and the Caribbean (LA&C) in 2022 are ranked on page 11. Collectively, these merchant acquirers processed 39.49 billion Mastercard and Visa card transactions, up 20.7% from 2021.

ConnexPay’s All-in-One Payment Platform

ConnexPay, which was formed in 2017, designed a single platform to handle both card acceptance and payments for future-delivery-type merchants. They currently have 250 clients, including 20 outside the US.

Skipify Launches Wallet with American Express

American Express is the first US card issuer to partner with Skipify on that company’s Card Linking digital wallet, an ecommerce checkout product that has been quietly in development for nearly three years. Amex has invested in Skipify in three funding rounds since 2021.

Online merchants connected to Skipify offer a location to input an email address at checkout rather than entering a card number to initiate a purchase. Skipify initiates transactions by sending a one-time passcode (OTP) to the cardholder’s mobile phone via text or app.
