ACH Payments in the U.S. — 2019

FedACH, a service of the Federal Reserve, and the Electronic Payments Network (EPN), a business unit of the Clearing House Payments Company, operate automated clearing house networks in the U.S. facilitating commercial, consumer, and government payments. The value of FedACH and EPN combined reached $55.800 trillion in 2019, up 8.9% over 2018. This was the biggest year-over-year growth in over a decade. The value of ACH payments has increased by more than $1.000 trillion for seven years in a row. Combined FedACH and EPN consumer-related ACH transactions last year grew 7.0% to 20.63 billion. ...
