ACH Payments in the U.S.—2018

Automated clearing house (ACH) operators FedACH, a service of the Federal Reserve Banks, and Electronic Payments Network (EPN), a business unit of the Clearing House Payments Company, processed 19.29 billion consumer-related ACH payments last year, up 6.5%. The value of those payments was $16.203 trillion, an increase of 9.8%. On-us transactions, where a financial institution owns the deposit account of the payor as well as the recipient, are not included in these figures.
