Amex Platinum Card Update

American Express has steadily increased new Platinum Card accounts in the U.S. since 2017 when the premium credit product was refreshed with new benefits and features. That refresh, which was designed to answer challenges from premium cards promoted by other issuers, was more successful than Amex anticipated.
