Apple Pay to the U.K.

Apple Pay will be available to iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, and Apple Watch customers in the U.K. beginning in July. For point-of-sale payments, more than 400,000 NFC-enabled terminals at 250,000 locations in the U.K. will accept Apple Pay transactions billed to American Express, MasterCard, and Visa credit and debit cards. Within apps, Apple Pay transactions can also be made from iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 3 devices. More than 40% of smartphones in the U.K. are Apple devices.
