Asia–Pacific Region Global Network Cards

Credit, debit and prepaid cards issued in the Asia–Pacific region carrying the UnionPay, Mastercard, Visa, JCB, American Express and Diners Club brands generated $19.701 trillion in purchase volume for goods and services in 2022, a decrease of 1.4% on a local currency basis from 2021.

 

The combination of purchase volume and cash volume (credit card cash advances and debit card cash withdrawals)—total volume—amounted to $20.682 trillion, a decline of 1.3%. Purchase volume accounted for 95.25% of total volume in 2022 versus 95.39% in 2021.
