Citi Buys Dillard’s Credit Cards from Wells Fargo

The private label card and co-branded American Express card portfolios of specialty retailer Dillard’s will be purchased by Citi, the 3rd largest US general purpose credit card issuer and 2nd largest US private label credit card issuer. Wells Fargo was the seller of both portfolios. Terms were not disclosed. Wells Fargo ranks 8th among general purpose credit card issuers and 5th among private label credit card issuers.
