Europe General Purpose Cards — 2015

Credit, debit, and prepaid general purpose cards issued in Europe and carrying Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Diners Club brands generated $2.964 trillion in purchases of goods and services at merchants in 2015, up 10.4%. Visa card purchase volume grew to $2.010 trillion, up 8.9% over 2014. MasterCard purchase volume grew to $854.32 billion, up 14.4% over 2014. American Express increased to $93.53 billion, up 8.2%, and Diners Club declined to $6.43 billion, down 7.1%.
