Financial institutions that use FIS as their debit card processor will be given the option of letting their cardholders register card details with buy now, pay later (BNPL) provider Affirm. Purchases made using those registered cards at any in-store or online merchant in the Visa or Mastercard networks will be eligible for pay-over-time terms. FIS expects the BNPL service to be available early in 2026.
