The fourth largest prepaid card issuer in the U.S., Green Dot, sees an opportunity to earn revenue by matching current and former customers with lenders offering products to people with little or no credit histories or with subprime credit scores. It has launched Green Dot Money, an online marketplace, to offer loans in 46 states. The loans will be made by third-party lenders that are members of the marketplace.
