Largest US Credit Card Issuers — First Quarter 2023

The 20 largest general purpose and private label credit card issuers in the US collectively generated $1.278 trillion in purchase volume in the first quarter of this year, an increase of 10.9% over the same period of 2022. JPMorgan Chase, American Express, Citi, Capital One and Bank of America—the 5 largest issuers—collectively accounted for $955.72 billion in purchase volume, an increase of 11.3%.
