The 42 largest merchant acquirers in Latin America and the Caribbean (LA&C) based on card payments processed in 2018 are ranked on page 9. This group processed 22.26 billion (up 13%) Mastercard and Visa transactions from 10.5 million active merchant outlets in LA&C. Spending for goods and services (purchase volume) tied to those transactions was $692.05 billion, up 4%.
