PIN pads, dongle-type card readers, other types of card readers, electronic cash registers (ECR) and devices that scan QR codes but do not accept cards were not covered in issue 1250, which featured shipments of POS terminals. Of the 14.7 million devices shown here that were shipped in 2022, 75.19% were QR code terminals, 12.80% were PIN pads, 6.44% were ECRs, 3.80% were other card readers and 1.77% were dongles.
