Scan to Pay, a feature on Fiserv’s Clover point-of-sale (POS) platform, has been available for Alipay and WeChat Pay mobile payments since 2018. For those brands, QR codes are displayed on Clover POS devices. A new Scan to Pay feature produces QR codes on receipts for Apple Pay users in restaurants. The iOS 11 operating system automatically launches a QR code’s URL if the QR code is in front of the camera.
