Purchase volume for goods and services tied to general purpose debit and prepaid cards from the 50 largest US issuers reached $2.888 trillion in 2023, up 3.3% compared to the top 50 issuers in 2022. General purpose cards include consumer and business/commercial signature and PIN-based debit and prepaid products settled on the Visa, Mastercard, Discover and domestic-only networks.
