Top 50 Issuers in the Middle East and Africa — 2018

Ranked on pages 10 and 11 are the 50 largest issuers of credit, debit, and prepaid consumer and commercial general purpose cards in the Middle East and Africa region. Issuers represented 48 countries. Collectively, cards they issued generated $287.65 billion in purchase volume for goods and services in 2018. That volume was tied to 148.6 million cards. Counted in this survey are Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Diners Club, UnionPay, JCB, and Maestro cards, as well as general purpose domestic-only cards.
