The 50 largest general purpose payment card issuers in the Latin America and Caribbean (LAC) region ranked by spending for goods and services collectively accounted for $1.114 trillion in purchase volume in 2016. Collectively that group issued 740.4 million credit, debit, and prepaid consumer and commercial cards.
