The combined purchase volume (spending for goods and services) of the 50 largest general purpose payment card issuers in the Latin America and Caribbean (LA&C) region was $611.67 billion in 2020. The top 50 issued 679.9 million credit, debit and prepaid consumer and commercial cards with global brands—Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, Discover, Diners Club, American Express and JCB.
