Outstandings owned by the 30 largest US issuers of American Express, Discover, Mastercard and Visa credit cards (general purpose cards) reached $1.208 trillion on June 30, 2025, up 4.8% versus the 30 largest issuers on June 30, 2024. The top 30 issuers ranked by credit card purchase volume for the period January 1 through June 30, 2025, generated $2.825 trillion, up 4.3% versus midyear 2024.
