Visa Inc. made a strategic investment in TrialPay in 2011 then signed a licensing deal in the third quarter of last year to access the company’s platform connecting merchants to consumers. Now it has purchased the company. Terms of the transaction, which was completed in April 2015, were not disclosed. TrialPay’s platform connects more than 10,000 mobile and online merchants that publish discounts and deals from 3,000 other merchants.
