The top 25 US prepaid card issuers collectively accounted for $182.08 billion in purchase volume in 2023, down 3.2% from 2022. Bancorp Bank was the largest issuer followed by Pathward. Comerica Bank overtook Green Dot Bank for third place and Fifth Third Bank claimed fifth place in our ranking.
