Biometric Payment Card Pilot in the Middle East

Gemalto, the largest payment card manufacturer in the world, will provide biometric technology for a Visa card product in Lebanon issued by Areeba, a company that opened for business last year. It will be the first test of a dual-interface (contact- and contactless-chip) biometric payment card in the Middle East.
