Commerce Bank is the 26th largest U.S. Visa/MasterCard credit card issuer. Its portfolio is heavily weighted with revolving credit users, and cardholders in the revolving cycle don’t want to add new everyday-type purchases to their existing balances because they would have to pay finance charges on them. Research revealed that Commerce cardholders use credit cards from other issuers for spending they intend to pay off every month.
