Synchrony Adds BP Consumer Credit Cards

Synchrony Financial, the largest U.S. issuer of private label credit cards for retail stores in the U.S., also issues cards for gasoline retailers. It will expand its gasoline card customer base with the purchase of two BP consumer credit card portfolios. JPMorgan Chase is the seller of both the BP private label consumer portfolio and a BP co-branded Visa portfolio. Synchrony already issues private label consumer credit cards for Chevron and Phillips 66 including that company’s 76 subsidiary, as well as co-branded MasterCard credit cards with those three brands.
