Ingenico Tablet Partnership for Small Merchants

The top global manufacturer of POS terminals, Ingenico Group, has formed a partnership with Beamm, a company that builds commerce software small merchants access using iPad tablets. The partnership, which has launched in the U.S., calls for Ingenico iCT terminals capable of handling EMV-compliant transactions as well as optional point-to-point encryption (P2PE) and tokenization to be the payment engine that drives Beamm’s cloud-based commerce tools.  This semi-integrated combination of devices creates what the partners refer to as smart tabletPOS.
