Crédit Agricole Val de France has piloted use of a Mastercard credit card with an embedded display screen and microcontroller that provides dynamic security code numbers to cardholders who want added security for their purchases. The dynamic CVV (card verification value) technology is available from Ellipse, which supplied its EVC All-in-One module to Giesecke & Devrient, Crédit Agricole’s card manufacturer.
