Global Payments will offer its merchant customers in Canada the ability to accept contactless payments from cards and smartphones without the need for a peripheral card reader or a dongle. It is working with Mobeewave, whose technology turns an Android smartphone with embedded secure element into an NFC-enabled payment acceptance point.
