Middle East and Africa Cards 2017

Purchases of goods and services combined with cash advances and cash withdrawals obtained at ATMs and over the counter at branches generated by Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Diners Club credit, debit, and prepaid cards issued in the Middle East and Africa reached $969.74 billion in 2017, up 9.9% from 2016. Cash volume of $596.11 billion, up 8.5%, accounted for 61.47% of total volume in 2017, down from 62.27% in 2016.
