Asia–Pacific Global Network Cards

UnionPay, Mastercard, Visa, JCB, American Express and Diners Club credit, debit and prepaid cards issued in the Asia–Pacific region generated $19.051 trillion in purchase volume in 2023. On a local currency basis this was up 1.4% from 2022. Total volume—which is a combination of purchase volume and cash volume—reached $19.998 trillion, up 1.4%. Purchase volume accounted for 95.31% of total volume in 2023 versus 95.26% in 2022. UnionPay credit, debit and prepaid card purchase volume totaled $15.103 trillion, up less than 0.1%.
