Overdraft Credit for Millennials

The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau says that revenues to financial institutions in the U.S. from overdrafts consumers made from their demand deposit accounts (DDA), commonly known as checking accounts, totaled $17 billion in 2016. The typical overdraft triggered a $35 charge to the consumer. Overdraft fees particularly plague people who are 18 to 34 years old.
