Android-based payment terminals from Pax Technology are now available in the U.S., including the company’s iPad-like E700 SmartECR shown here. The E700 is an all-in-one tablet with a fully integrated PCI 5x certified payment module and hybrid NFC EMV card reader. It uses the Android 7.1 operating system with a Cortex-A53 processor. Its 12.5-inch touchscreen features a high-definition color display. There is a 0.3 megapixel front camera and 2.0 megapixel rear camera.
