PNC Bank’s acquisition of BBVA USA Bancshares for $11.60 billion in cash, which is expected to be completed in mid-2021, will create the 5th largest bank holding company in the U.S. PNC Bank ranked 11th largest in the U.S. among issuers of Visa and Mastercard credit cards at midyear 2020 based on outstanding receivables with $8.10 billion.
