Purchase volume for goods and services from general purpose debit and prepaid cards issued by the 50 largest issuers in the United States totaled $2.119 trillion in 2019, up 6.6% over 2018. That purchase volume included all consumer and commercial signature and PIN-based card products cleared through Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and the regional EFT networks.
