Purchase volume generated by consumer, small business and commercial card products issued by the top 100 issuers in the United States reached $8.792 trillion in 2024, an increase of 3.9% over 2023. Purchase volume, which is spending for goods and services, included American Express, Discover, Mastercard and Visa cards combined with domestic-only brands led by Interlink, Star, Pulse and Nyce, which are primarily PIN-based debit networks.
