Carment, a payment platform from Palo Alto, California-based startup Whillet, uses Visa Direct to make payments from automotive dealerships to sellers of used cars. Transactions clear in minutes, which compares to days when dealers pay with a check. The service benefits sellers who wish to use those instant payouts to fund another vehicle purchase.
