Online merchants in the U.S., Japan, India, and 16 countries in Europe can offer the more than 300 million consumers in 170 countries who are active Amazon customers the ability to use information stored in their Amazon account. The service, launched in 2014 as Pay with Amazon, and now called Amazon Pay, was initially deployed by small and midsized businesses connecting through the Shopify, Big Commerce, or Magento ecommerce platforms.
